Summer Fiber Camp at Warm & Wooly!

Warm and Wooly invites your child to join us for fabulous Summer Fiber Camps this summer!

We will be offering three consecutive weeks of camp, each focusing on different fiber crafts. You can choose to register for mornings, afternoons, or full days! Each session will have something different to offer.

Session 1:
July 8th-12th

AM (10am-12pm)
Needle Felting
Campers will learn the art of needle felting: using wool roving and needles to create 2D and 3D projects. They will explore different techniques to make a 3D animal and a wool "painting".

PM (1pm-3pm)
Crochet 101
Campers will learn the basics of crochet: slip knot, chain, single crochet, and following a pattern. They will use their crochet skills to make a hat! For campers that have already learned basic crochet stitches, they will be working on a more advanced project to learn increases and decreases.

Session 2:
July 15th-19th

AM (10am-12pm)
Weaving
Explore the art of weaving on mini looms! Campers will start with learning how to weave on a small loom to make woven bracelets. Then they will complete a woven tapestry wall hanging.

PM (1pm-3pm)
Crochet 201
For campers who have already learned the basic crochet stitches (or who attended the previous week), we will be working on granny squares! Campers will learn how to work in the round, follow a crochet chart, and how to seam their squares together to make a pillow or basket.

Session 3:
July 22nd-26th

AM (10am-12pm)
Hand Sewing
This week campers will complete a variety of projects with a needle and thread! Starting with hand sewing a felt character, then practicing the basics of embroidery and counted cross stitch.

PM (1pm-3pm)
Fabulous Fiber
A fabulous celebration of all the fiber things, this week campers will have the opportunity to dabble in a variety of fiber crafts. We will dye yarn, practice punch needling, and rug hooking.
