Project level: Beginner

Learn how to knit at Warm and Wooly! This is a three week class series, however, each class can be registered for individually. Please read the description for each week to decide what skills you'd like to learn!

101 (April 18th): No previous skills needed.
Learn the slip knot, long tail cast on, knit stitch, and cast off.
Make a garter stitch butterfly.
Supplies needed: tapestry needle, size 10, 24-36” circular needle and bulky weight yarn.

102 (April 25th): Some previous skills needed. Must know how to make a slip knot, cast on, knit stitch, and cast off.
Learn how to make the purl stitch.
Make a stockinette stitch mug rug.
Supplies: tapestry needle, size 10, 24-36” circular needle and bulky weight yarn.

103 (May 2nd): Some previous skills needed. Must know how to make a slip knot, cast on, knit and purl stitches, and cast off.
Learn how to increase and decrease stitches.
Learn how to correct common mistakes.
Learn how to read a knitting pattern.
Supplies: Before class knit a bulky weight 30 stitch / 10 row stockinette stitch swatch
on size 10 knitting needles, do not bind off. Bring this in-process knitting swatch to
class. Size 10, 24-36” circular needle, and the stitch fixer tool.
