Meet the Owner

At 12, I learned to knit yet never finished a project. In 2019, I fell in love with crocheting after being asked to crochet a washcloth as a gift. Never having crocheted before, and not thinking I would enjoy it, I borrowed hooks for my first two projects and learned the bare minimum to be able to finish them decently. Little did I know that my love for crochet and fiber arts would only grow from there!

My educational background is in Youth Development Studies and I spent several years working in the field as a Youth Development Specialist in a residential facility and Program Director at a non-profit serving middle and high school students. After seeing the positive impact crocheting made on my own mental health, I started teaching youth how to crochet. After teaching crochet within my youth development jobs for a few years, I started teaching online through TakeLessons in summer 2022. With every new student I fell more in love with teaching and fiber arts.

The art of crocheting and the fiber community have deeply impacted my life in a way I am forever grateful for. When the opportunity came to open my own yarn shop, how could I refuse?! North Branch has been my home for over two years. I am deeply committed to making Warm and Wooly something special for this community and hope to see other people find something wonderful here!

When I'm not at the shop, I'm spending as much time as I can with my wonderful husband and our three beautiful children.

Yarn Shop Debut

Isanti-Chisago County Star

Stacy Verdick Case wrote an article about us before the shop opened! She got to see the shop while it was still under construction and we were unboxing some of our first yarn orders.

Peep the tiny baby - our youngest was 8 weeks old on opening day.

Kickstarter Campaign

To support the opening of the shop, we ran a kickstarter campaign! We are so thankful to our friends, family and fiber community for helping us exceed our goal!

We worked hard to use those funds to build the fiber oasis we promised.
